Ready for your laser hair removal session? Here’s everything you need to know to prep, find us, and care for your skin afterward. We’re all about making this easy and stress-free so you can get smooth and stay confident. Let’s do this!
Before Your Appointment
To make sure everything goes smoothly, please take a moment to complete the intake forms sent in your confirmation email after booking. Then, follow these steps:
- Stop using antibiotics like Doxycycline, Minocycline, Ciprofloxacin, or Bactrim 2 weeks before your session. Accutane needs to be stopped 6 months prior. On other prescriptions? Give us a quick call to check.
- If treating your face, underarms, or areas where you use Retin-A, tretinoin, hydroquinone, acne treatments, chemical exfoliants, any active ingredients (salicylic acid, glycolic acid, etc), or steroid creams, pause them 2 weeks before.
- Avoid sun exposure or self-tanners on the treatment area for 2 weeks prior. We need your skin at its natural tone.
- Shave the area the day before or the day of your appointment. (Your last wax must be 5+ weeks ago for your first session.) If you show up unshaven without letting us know, we may need to reschedule with a fee. Need help shaving hard-to-reach spots (like a full back)? Let us know ahead, and we’ll shave for you for $25.
- We’ll reschedule if you’re wearing makeup on facial areas, unshaven without notice, on restricted meds, pregnant, under 18, or waxed within 5 weeks.
- We’re card-only—no cash. Bring a debit or credit card, and you’re good to go!
How to Find Us - Hyattsville
Navigation will take you to 4328 Farragut St. Our parking lot is in the back of the building. Park anywhere on the gravel lot back there.
Head back to the front and go through the middle red door which has our sign on it.
Go up the stairs and through the door on the left into our waiting room - don't forget to check in on the ipad before oyu take a seat! Your nurse will get you when she is ready - usually we run exactly on time.

How to find us - Fairfax
Nav will bring you to 8318 Arlington Blvd. Park anywhere in the lot—closer to our entrance saves you steps.
Our entrance has white PO boxes out front and is directly across from the CareFirst building.
Walk in, look for our sign, and head to suite 201 (we share space with Dr. Tammy Jones).

How to find us - Towson
We’re at 100 E Pennsylvania Ave. No free parking, but street parking and nearby lots are just $1/hour.
If nav takes you to Delaware Ave, look for Towson Family Dentistry at the corner of Delaware and Pennsylvania. We’re right next door on Pennsylvania Ave.

After instructions
You’re one step closer to smooth! Here’s how to keep your skin happy post-session:
- Avoid sun exposure on treated areas for 2 weeks and use SPF 30+.
- Skip heavy sweating (workouts, saunas, steam rooms, hot showers) and pools for 48 hours.
- Don’t use Retin-A, tretinoin, or chemical exfoliants for 1 week.
- For Brazilian treatments, avoid intercourse for 24 hours.
- Skip deodorant or products for 24 hours—use soothing aloe vera gel if needed.
- Shave between sessions if you want, but no plucking, waxing, or hair removal creams.
- Notice anything unusual? Call or text us ASAP.
