Review the following instructions to make sure you are well prepared for your upcoming laser hair removal appointment. Also please make sure to fill out the intake forms ahead of time (you received a link in the confirmation email you got after booking).
Firstly, make sure you have discontinued use of the following medications: certain antibiotics such as Doxycycline, Minocycline, Ciprofloxacin, Bactrim 2 weeks prior to treatment; Accutane at leats 6 months prior to treatment, some other medications that are less common so if you are on any prescribed medication it's always better to check ahead of time.
Secondly, if you are getting your facial areas or underarms (or if you use the following products on the areas you are intending to treat) treated make sure you discontinue any retinA, tretinoin, hydroquinone, acne treatment, chemical exfolliants or steroid creams two weeks prior to your appointment.
Thirdly, the areas you are getting treated can't be tanned, meaning you can't have had prolonged sun exposure or self tanner for 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
The day before your appointment please SHAVE the area (your last wax must have been more than 5 weeks prior to your first laser). Shaving the day of the appointment is also okay. If you come in unshaved we will have to reschedule you and there may be a reschedule fee associated. We are of course happy to touch up any areas you can't reach, or, if you need help shaving (this is mainly for the full back appointments), you can let us know ahead of time and we can shave for you for a $25 shaving fee.
And last thing to note - we will reschedule your treatment if: you are getting a facial treatment and come in with makeup on, your are fully unshaved and didn't give us a heads up, are any of the contrainidcative medications mentioned above, are pregnant, are under 18 years old, have waxed less than 5 weeks before your laser, are more than
The navigation will take you to the front of the 4328 Farragut St building. We are located in the back of this building and you can park anywhere on the gravel parking lot that's in the back.
After you park, head to the red door 105A - we are up the stairs through this door.
If you are coming to us from the front of the building, you want to start out looking at the three red doors, looking left and following the red brick footpath to the back of the building. At the end of the footpath you will turn the corner right and we will be the red door on your right - 105A.

The navigation will take you to 8318 Arlington Blvd. You can park anywhere in the parking lot that is around the building. The best would be to park near our entrance so you don't have to walk around.
Our entrance has a bunch of white PO BOXES in front of it and is located directly OPPOSITE the CareFirst building that is across the street.
Once you enter through that entrance, you will see our sign and we are located in the suite 201 where we share offices with Dr. Tammy Jones.

After your appointment, please avoid exposing the treated area to the sun for two weeks and be sure to wear sunscreen.
Avoid excessive sweating such as heavy workouts, saunas, steam rooms, and super hot showers for 48 hours. Also avoid swimming in pools for 48 hours.
Avoid applying retinA, tretinoin, chemical exfolliants to the area for at least a week after your session.
If getting the brazilian area, it is recommended to avoid intercourse for 24 hours after treatment.
Avoid using deodorant or any other products on the area for 24 hours. You can apply a soothing aloe gel to the treated area.
Do not pluck, wax or use hair removal creams between treatment - you can shave as much as you want though!
